In a special event on On Friday, July 30th beginning at 9 PM as a fundraiser for the DCM to support Music Concerts/Clinics in DE schools presented by the Delaware Charitable Music, Inc. and Sydney's Music Revival at Bethany Blue Lewes is a live performance by the 2010 International Blues Challenge WInner - Grady Champion.
During the finals of The Blues Foundation’s 26th Annual International Blues Challenge held on January 23rd at The Orpheum Theater in Memphis, Tennessee, in front of an enthusiastic, packed house, Grady Champion and his band took top honors in the Blues Band category, beating out some 110 other bands from around the world.
The amazing harmonica player and his show demonstrated his adept skill at working and pleasing his audience with great tunes in order to win that most coveted blues event.
Often compared to Sonny Boy Williamson, Grady's high-energy singing and harmonica playing bring a new life to the blues with revved-up, soulful vocalizing , charm and insight , resulting in high praise in reviews internationally.
